More than 200 attendees gathered to collect information and to commune with the region’s many successful business representatives, exchanging business cards and handshakes.
POWERLUNCH’08 York featured a small group of about 24 select exhibitors. “[There was] not an overwhelming amount of vendors, so you can get to know them and their services,” said one participant.
One visitor said she really enjoyed “the welcoming atmosphere and easy networking through the booths.”
In addition to the exhibitor booths, three speed networking sessions were offered and filled up quickly with eager participants. “Speed networking sessions allowed for greater access to more people in an organized manner,” commented a speed networking participant.
The world of wine was again the topic of conversation during POWERLUNCH’s two free seminars, hosted by wine experts Amanda Harris and Frances Teslar.
In addition to all the networking, the newfound wine knowledge, and a generous lunch buffet, POWERLUNCH guests were also eligible to win one of four grand prizes.
The winners and their prizes were:
- Tina Pierozak of East Berlin, $1,000 courtesy of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants;
- Judith Brown of Steelton, an overnight theater trip for two to New York City, from Aztech DataSystems;
- Sandee Feilers of York and Deb Sullivan of York each won a nomadic instant tabletop display from
BSI Exhibits.
